There is still time to donate to Jeremy's cause:

Hello everyone,
I'm safely back after my 170.65mile ride from Morecambe to Bridlington.  The weather was changeable to say the least;
it poured on the Tuesday as we struggled over the Pennines, was glorious on Wednesday as we reached York and after a wet start,
Thursday ended up dry as we approached the North Sea at Bridlington.
The gale force winds were probably the saving grace of the trip; Pennine inclines are much easier if you've got a 25mph hurricane at your back!

Thank you for all your donations supporting CHICKS.  With Gift Aid and over £500 off-line donations, I'm well on the way to reaching my £2500 target,
so any further generosity on your part would be gratefully received via:

Remember that I service and repair bicycles and the money goes to CHICKS too.  Just ring me on 07836 208 752.
Best regards and thanks
Jeremy

Dear fellow AVPCSG member,

Some of you will know that I've supported the children's charity CHICKS (see www.chicks.org.uk) for over 20 years by servicing, refurbishing and selling bicycles.. This year, on 6th June, I'm challenging my trusty 1980 Raleigh Connoisseur to carry its twice as old rider (me) right across the country on the 'Way of the Roses', from Morecambe to Bridlington.

Will you be kind enough to sponsor me by making a donation to CHICKS for my efforts? The distance is 170 miles and I'll be taking three days. "No sweat" I hear you say, "only 55 miles a day" but I'm told there are a few hills along the way.

My target is to help at least two young carers to have a week long respite break in the country, away from their usual cares, worries and responsibilities. Will you help me to help CHICKS to help them and give them memories they'll treasure forever?  If you would like to donate  please click on this link:

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/JeremyBuckmanC2CforCHICKS to make a donation direct to CHICKS and please, Gift Aid it too, if you can; it costs you nothing and adds 25% to your contribution.

With best regards,

Jeremy
