MCF COMMUNITY AWARDS -TERCENTENARY FUND: VOTING OPENS MONDAY ON 12th JUNE

You will be aware that as part of the Tercentenary Celebrations a special Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) Community Awards fund of £3m was set up to support 300 charities across the country. Each Province was asked to nominate a number of local charities who would benefit from a donation from this fund. A public vote will now be taking place to decide how much each charity would receive. The size of the vote obviously dictates the size of the donation.

The six Charities nominated by the Buckinghamshire Executive are listed below.

Simply click on the name to see what wonderful work these charities do.

HEARING DOGS FOR THE DEAF
KARENS BIG SMILES

STOKE MANDEVILLE CANCER CARE & HAEMATOLOGY FUND

THE GRAHAM FULFORD FOUNDATION

MEDICAL DETECTION DOGS

LINDEN GATE

Each charity will receive a minimum of £4,000 and there are awards of £15,000 and £25,000 for the two that receive the most votes. The voting will run from 12th June to 31st July 2017 and is open to all Freemasons and the wider community to vote for their nominated charity.

I would strongly urge you all that if you do not know of the work of these charities go onto their website and read about the fantastic work they do and then vote for your favourite.

As a Province we were the first to launch a Festival for the MCF so it is wonderful to see and know that we in Buckinghamshire have £58,000 of the Community Award to donate to our six charities. We look to all the brethren to vote, and continue to support our Festival, so that we can continue to work with the MCF in supporting Buckinghamshire Charities and Bucks Brethren who need our support.
